Karya Bali is a family-run woodcarving workshop in Batubulan, Gianyar. We make Balinese figures, wall carvings, sculptures, and trophies.
Our workshop
Led by I Made Arya Dwiputra and a team of local carvers.
Karya Bali started as a small family studio and now works with around 25 artisans. We make about 300 pieces a month, from small gifts and awards to larger carvings for homes and businesses.
Each piece starts with the timber. We choose the wood, draw the form, and carve it gradually by hand. The grain, size, and subject all affect the finished work.
